Welcome to ACES-2020

It is the second edition of national conference on Advances in Chemical Engineering and Science (ACES) scheduled to be held during 28-29 February 2020. ACES is an annual symposium being organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISER Bhopal). The objective of ACES-2020 is to promote the research and provide a platform to the engineers, scientists, students, young researchers, faculty and the people from industry to share their knowledge, research findings, creative thinking, and effective communication skills in producing innovative solutions to the problems related to chemical industries including the current issues related to sustainable energy and environment. ACES-2020 will also provide to discuss the recent developments and their impact to the society; and the future challenges to promote the interdisciplinary research and capacity building for excellence in research.

About the Organizer

The Department of Chemical Engineering was established in the year 2015 to promote the interdisciplinary research for working at interfaces between the science and engineering disciplines. The objective of the department is to integrate the study of the subject across the traditional boundaries of natural and applied sciences; and it believes that the future technology innovation will benefit from broad fundamentals and specialized knowledge when natural and applied sciences will come together. This will not only give an opportunity to work in interdisciplinary interfaces but also provide well-structured fundamental understanding. The Department of Chemical Engineering at IISER Bhopal has developed a unique and multidisciplinary research environment within the institute to flourish the collaborations with academic and industrial organizations. The department presently offers BS, BS-MS, and Ph.D. programs in Chemical Engineering, with the aim to provide a quality teaching and learning. The department is well equipped for carrying out research in frontier areas of chemical engineering and allied subjects.
